Today

In 1986 Silvia and Urs Hauser took over the business from their parents, who continued to work at the hotel for several years to come. Today they live in their own small private chalet next to the hotel. Silvia and Urs Hauser have two children. Philip was born in 1988 and Carole in 1991. Both are attending the grammar school in Interlaken. Philip is planning to study at the University of St.Gallen and Carole is dreaming of an acting career.

Plans for the future

Regardless of whether one of our children shows an interest in carrying on the business, we are making plans for the future, because to do nothing would be a step backwards. In the autumn of 2006 the restaurant was given a facelift and a range of smaller jobs was carried out. We are currently planning various projects:

  • Construction of an additional lift on the exterior wall of the hotel and a sky bar on the roof
  • Sauna landscape extension to the swimming pool
  • Construction of a new hotel wing with luxurious junior suites
