Since 2023: Carole and Philip Hauser

In November 2023, siblings Carole and Philip Hauser took over the management of the hotel in its fourth generation. Philip completed his Master's degree in Business Management with a focus on SMEs and family businesses at the University of St. Gallen in 2016. He then worked in the management team at the Belvedere and gained additional experience in the hotel industry at Radisson Switzerland and the Hotel Margna in Sils-Baselgia. After completing her EMBA in Hospitality Management at the Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne (EHL), Carole decided to move to London. Over the next four years, she gained work experience in both digital marketing and hotel investments. In the summer of 2023, she finally returned to Grindelwald.

Renovations

In 2023 and 2024, one third of the rooms and bathrooms were completely renovated and redesigned.

Expansion

In 2023, an apartment building was purchased to counteract the shortage of skilled workers with additional accommodation. In 2024, the siblings expanded with the purchase of Waldhuus Bellary – a 10-minute walk from Belvedere – which opened in spring 2025. Waldhuus offers 25 rooms in a fantastic location and is aimed at the young and young at heart with the slogan «Young. Fun. Grindelwald».
